Young people make the profession of chef's tasty - this goal Carl Werner Möller, director of the Food Museum "World of Kitchen" (WOK) has set Spichernstrasse, with a new project to start in early 2014. The idea had arisen after a boy it was noticed, who participated for the sixth time at one of the cooking classes at WOK museum and showed great interest in cooking, says Möller. "It is this enthusiasm for cooking, we now aim to support."


The proposed project should be 24 young people aged between 15 and 16 years provide the opportunity to participate in a six-week cooking course which is funded by the sponsoring organization of the museum. Here every Saturday to prepare the young people together with the volunteer chefs WOK museum food - and should it find out if cooking is more than a hobby for them and the profession of cook them is possible.
"Jobs in catering have criticized a bad reputation, the long working hours and low salary criticized," said Moeller, who is a trained chef himself. The initiative was to bring young people closer to the education profession and help them to find a job.
With interest in the six-week cooking class teenagers can send an application by e-mail to Moeller - Hof zum Berge can imagine, to follow if demand is more seminars with the same arguments. "Enough professional cooks can never have," he says.
